Shanghai Lockdown remote portraits
During the lockdown in Shanghai that lasted 2 month I have photographed friends and acquaintances thru video call as they, as myself, were under a mandatory isolation required by the Chinese government.
Meanwhile the rest of the world have decided to open up China is. one of. the last place left where the strict no covid policy measure are in place.

As Shanghai is undergoing a total lockdown the city has lift some restriction for some few people althought streets that connect different districts are shut and checkpoints have being installed.
My series "Letters from Shanghai" published on Liberation
As Shanghai has been locked down I have started to photograph friends of mine and other people that I have never met, remotely using a video-call. The absurdity of this project is that we all live in the same city, Shanghai and yet we are not able to meet in real life because of the harsh lockdown that Shanghai is undergoing.
